OUR APPROACH
Safety &
Wellbeing
Every day, every person, every site: we’re commited to creating a safe work environment for everyone.
We all contribute to a safe, healthy, and supportive workplace.
We are committed to exceeding industry safety laws and regulations, prioritising the health, safety, and wellbeing of our people — our most valuable asset.
Central to this is providing training, guidance, and support on safe work practices, fostering a team-based approach that makes safety an integral part of everything we do.
We collaborate with clients and industry experts to drive health and safety improvements and use local safety committees to promote continuous, grassroots initiatives focused on early intervention and prevention.
For further information, see our Health Safety Wellbeing Policy Statement.
Our systems
To keep our team informed and educated on key safety and wellbeing matters, we provide a range of systems and tools, including:
Assure Programs
EAP Mental Health Intervention
Millennium partners with Assure Programs to provide confidential, specialist-led counselling, coaching, and wellbeing support for employees, managers, and their families at no cost. Services include mental health counselling, wellbeing coaching, dietary guidance, financial advice, legal support, and manager assistance, delivered via phone, video, face-to-face, or chat.
To further support workplace wellbeing, Millennium conducts the ‘Help Us Create Healthier Workplaces’ Survey on psychosocial hazards and risks.
Part of the nationally recognised People at Work initiative, this evidence-based survey provides insights that help create safer, more supportive, and mentally healthy work environments.
Manager Support Program
We’re committed to equipping our managers with the tools and guidance they need to lead effectively and support their teams.
The Manager Support Program (MSP) helps managers make informed decisions to address psychosocial risks and foster a workplace that proactively promotes mental wellbeing.
Leadership development is a key focus, and MSP encourages managers to build strategies and confidence to handle complex people management challenges, particularly those involving emotional responses and employee wellbeing.
